Apple has officially move up the release date of Snow Leopard! It will be available on August 28. Unfortunately, this OS requires Intel processors to run on your computer. So, unless you purchased your computer in the last few years, it probably doesn't have Intel inside. :D
The way you find out, is to click the apple on the top right of your screen, and select "About This Mac" and a new window will come up with basic info about your computer hardware. Now, just look where it says "Processor", and if it says Power PC or something other than Intel, you're out of luck.
