Apple has officially move up the release date of Snow Leopard! It will be available on August 28. Unfortunately, this OS requires Intel processors to run on your computer. So, unless you purchased your computer in the last few years, it probably doesn't have Intel inside. :D

The way you find out, is to click the apple on the top right of your screen, and select "About This Mac" and a  new window will come up with basic info about your computer hardware. Now, just look where it says "Processor", and if it says Power PC or something other than Intel, you're out of luck.

Section 1

stated in my previous article, I have been attempting to add colors to the usernames in Forum posts. And I must admit that when I started, I had no idea how to do this. So, I asked the Admins at Ucozers, and with their help I applied the colors relatively easily. So now the colors are applied, and making the forum just a little cooler looking that before.

Section 2

If you are at all interested in how I got the colors applied than read on. But If technical stuff makes your brain hurt, or you just dont care, I advise you to skip to section 3, as the following section is about technical junk that may bore you to tears.

Okey, the first thing I did to apply the colors, was modify the HTML code for the forum, and added i ... Read more »

A few things have been changed on the site in the last few days. One of which, is the site name displayed on the top of every page. Notice that is is now blue and in a different font (Apple Chancery).

Another thing that's changed, is the site menu. It no longer has that big black splotch that shows what page you're on. Also, now when you hover your mouse over a menu item, it glows blue! Actually, I've made that change to a lot of links and things on the site. Anyway, go and look around, see if you can see all the changes.

I'm planning to add user name colors for specific user groups. That should be working within the next few days, so make sure to check back regularly.

I've updated the main page so that it loads several times faster than before. This is really good news for the people who use a dial up connection. :)

For those of you who don't know yet, Apple® is going to release the new iPod® and iPhone® OS. This version (OS 3) is going to have many new features. One of these new features is Bluetooth®. Yes, that's what I said "Bluetooth®"! This is a really big thing for iPod® users, because they will be able to connect to other iPod® devices without a WiFi area. The release date for this new software has not been set yet (that I know of) but my guess is that it will be released in June or July 2009.

Be aware that this new OS will probably cost you. Most likely between $20 to $50.

Feel free to check out the Forum area to ask any computer related questions you may have. We'll do our best to answer your questions. Just remember that I do NOT permit any discussion of  "Jailbreaking" iPods® or iPhones™. And any breaking of this rule will result in a temporary block, or permanent ban. So be good.
